Available with 2-button digital (-d) or analogue (-a) volume control.  The 2-button control has separate up and down buttons for easy volume adjustment (65-position, logarithmic, 1dB per step).  The built-in XinFeed (the best crossfeed technology) can be thoroughly bypassed with a sliding switch (pushing it to right enables crossfeed).

The optional booster connector allows you to use external power and higher voltage. You can use this connector with the AC adapter, the car adapter, or the booster, all are available in amp accessories. The amp uses automatically all available power sources - internal and external.  When you use internal batteries only, you must terminate the connector with a terminator.  This terminator is included when you add this connector and replacement is available in amp accessories.

Warning: If your amp has a booster connector, never let total voltage (internal + external) exceed 7.2V for digital control versions and 12V for other versions. If your amp does not have a booster connector (digital or analog pot), don't use any external power. Those that have no booster connector do not have the necessary circuit and they could be damaged by external power.

To use this amp, you need an interconnect cable to connect your source (CD, MD, MP3, FM, etc.) to this amp. The input jack is on the top and the headphone jack is on the bottom). You can buy an OFC cable that's best for portables in amp accessories.  Radio Shack and other stores also sell such mini-to-mini interconnect cable, but most of their cable are not so flexible for portables.  Other than such a cable, you don't need anything else to use the amp and it is truly plug-n-play.

This amp is obviously best for portable use, but it can be used for home and office as well.  If your amp has a digital pot and you use it with some home gears that have very high line-out level, you might need a home adapter to avoid possible clipping (amps with analog pots have no this concern).
