Hello, I am Xin Feng, PhD, one of such shoe-repair men living in this global village. I started my "Cool Tips" site in 1997 and it has since been loved by people all around the world. Thank to WWW, I can easily document and share my expertise, other than let these valuable experience and knowledge fade out my memory. As I get too much email, so I have added a discussion page, "Cool Talk", to save time for both you and me and, more important, to keep these precious messages accessible forever. I am a former rocket scientist and I studied and worked in that area for 15 years -- developing rocket engines for satellite rockets and ballistic missiles. I developed China's first digital controller of rocket engine (used a Intel 8096) and won many national awards. My Ph.D. dissertation is on "PWM Control and Health Monitoring of a Variable Thrust Space Liquid Rocket Engine" and here is a list of some my publications. I love electronics and built my first crystal radio at 7. I'm proud that I recently invented the world's smallest audiophile headphone amp and it brings the best music to anyone, anywhere and anytime. Thank to my overclocked Libretto 100CT (with Sprint PCS unlimited vision plan for only $10 per month), Windows 2000 and the Internet, I can handle in my spare time this website and all the things you see here -- circuit, software, accounting, tax, merchant (credit cards charging and order processing), domains (fixup.net, xintechs.com, etc.), email servers, etc. Yes, armed with the right computer, the Internet and music, a single person can reach incredible productivity and serve people all around the world. |
